Stipend funds: Participants will receive a $35,568 per year salary plus benefits
ICARE fellows will be required to work as research post-baccalaureates devoting 9 months (75% full time effort). The remaining 3 months (25% full time effort) will be for further professional development, career coaching, and programmatic commitments.
Travel and supply funds: up to $3,000 per year per ICARE fellow
Funds are allocated for research supplies or to travel to a scientific meeting to present your research, network with students and faculty from other institutions, and serve as ambassadors for ICARE with your peers.
Professional development:
The ICARE program will facilitate monthly professional development opportunities for its fellows including career coaching and advice on graduate school applications.

The Association of Multicultural Scientists (AMS) is a graduate student and postdoc run organization seeking to promote the advancement of diversity and inclusion within biomedical sciences by supporting individuals from groups that have historically been underrepresented in biomedical research and science.
